{"id":594603,"date":"2023-10-17T01:58:00","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T22:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/top-iranian-envoy-warns-preemptive-action-against-israel-expected-soon\/"},"modified":"2023-10-17T01:58:00","modified_gmt":"2023-10-16T22:58:00","slug":"top-iranian-envoy-warns-preemptive-action-against-israel-expected-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/top-iranian-envoy-warns-preemptive-action-against-israel-expected-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"#Top Iranian envoy warns \u2018preemptive action\u2019 against Israel expected soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/10\/Israel_Gaza_ap_1013.jpeg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Iranian Foreign Minister\u00a0Hossein Amirabdollahian on Monday warned\u00a0that preemptive action against Israel could be expected\u00a0\u201cin the coming hours,\u201d due to its bombing of Gaza, according to Iranian state TV.<\/p>\n<p>Amirabdollahian\u00a0said that Israel \u2014 which is waging an air campaign against\u00a0the Palestinian militant group Hamas\u00a0with a ground invasion expected soon \u2014 won\u2019t be allowed to take such actions in the Gaza S<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> without repercussions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cLeaders of the resistance will not allow [Israel] to take any action in Gaza \u2026 All options are open and we cannot be indifferent to the war crimes committed against the people of Gaza,\u201d Amirabdollahian told state TV, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/iran-says-preemptive-action-by-resistance-front-expected-coming-hours-2023-10-16\/\">as translated\u00a0by Reuters<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe resistance front is capable of waging a long-term war with [Israel] \u2026 in the coming hours, we can expect a preemptive action by the resistance front,\u201d he added.\u00a0\u201cIf the crimes in Gaza do not stop im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely, new fronts will be opened.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Israel since Oct. 7 has been at war with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. The conflict has claimed more than 4,000 lives and counting on both sides after Hamas\u2019s deadly surprise assault on Israel by land, air and sea.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The conflict has unsettled the region, with U.S. officials concerned that the Iran-backed Hezbollah might choose to open a second front in the fight. Hezbollah and Israel last fought a monthlong war in 2006.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to send a pretty strong message. We do not want this to broaden, and the idea is for Iran to get that message loud and clear,\u201d\u00a0new Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Charles Q. Brown\u00a0said last week.<\/p>\n<p>Iran, which also backs Hamas, has denied any involvement in the planning of that attack, but the country\u2019s leaders have seemed to revel in\u00a0Israel\u2019s intelligence failure in not suspecting Hamas\u2019s plans.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Earlier Monday, Amirabdollahian posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that \u201ctime is running out for political solutions\u201d to the war.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar Media Inc.
