NLE Choppa has expressed gratitude to his fans for showing concern during his brief disapp<\/a>earance over the weekend, but wants them to turn their attention to more important things.<\/p>\n

On Sunday (October 22), the Memphis native told fans he was appreciative they were worried about him, but clarified that he hadn\u2019t actually gone missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate ya\u2019ll showing concern but the missing narrative isn\u2019t cool, especially knowing that people really do go missing everyday,\u201d he wrote on X, the social media<\/a> site formerly known as Twitter. \u201cI took a little time to myself to get back to my roots, but trust I\u2019m all good. Apologies to anyone that was worried. We don\u2019t run from battles, we take em chin up. IM BACK.\u201d<\/p>\n

The whole situation began on Friday (October 20), when the Memphis rapper\u2019s mother Angela Potts \u2014 who is also his manager \u2014 sounded the social media alarm about his disappearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cY\u2019all help me pray over my child,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHe plans on moving back to Cottonwood where we worked hard to get out of just for a mixtape SMH! I ain\u2019t talked to this boy in hours and he usually doesn\u2019t do this\u2026 One thing I know about my son is that he doesn\u2019t go ghost for any reason. Whatever you\u2019re working on I pray GOD is guiding you. If y\u2019all hear from him PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP! To the fans he wants to please thanks a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was a similar since-deleted message posted on NLE Choppa\u2019s Instagram Stories and Twitter account, encouraging the Memphis rapper\u2019s fans to get in touch with Potts if they\u2019ve seen or heard from the rapper.<\/p>\n

He turned up safe just a few hours later. Potts revealed that she\u2019d finally heard from her beloved son, and that he had just needed some time to get his thoughts together. She shared the information in a social media post she titled: \u201cMother\u2019s work is never done.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for the PRAYERS and SUPPORT,\u201d she wrote. \u201cChoppa\u2019s ok he just needed a minute, but didn\u2019t communicate it to his loved ones. I never intended to scare anyone with my post nor did I expect for people to think he\u2019s missing. But the frustrations of being the mother of a celebrity can be overwhelming at times.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
