Offset\u2018s new album Set It Off <\/em>has made its mark on the Billboard 200,\u00a0and his wife Cardi B couldn\u2019t be prouder.<\/p>\n

Set It Off<\/em>, which came out on October 13, debuted at No. 5 on this week\u2019s albums chart after earning 70,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, according to Billboard<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the news<\/a>, Cardi took to X, the social media<\/a> site formerly known as Twitter, to let the world know how proud she was of her spouse \u2014 and to drop some hints about her own music career.<\/p>\n

She wrote: \u201cSo proud of my baby!! Going against all odds\u2026 leaving his label, starting fresh, staying focused determined and not letting nothing break him\u2026 he did that!\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded the post by writing: \u201cMY TURN,\u201d in what app<\/a>eared to be a to a reference to her own upcoming album. The \u201cBodak Yellow\u201d rapper said just last month that her sophomore release will arrive \u201cvery soon,\u201d though \u201cit\u2019s not going to come out this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Offset had a thing or two to say about his own project as well. Just hours after the news broke about Set It Off<\/em>\u2018s Billboard 200 placement, the former Migos member shared a message explaining what its success meant to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank everyone that love the album you guys dont know how hard I work on this project with all that went on in my life\u2026we pushing through!!!!!\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Set\u2019s reference to \u201call that went on in my life\u201d was a nod to the murder of his groupmate TakeOff. The Migos member\u2019s death in late 2022 understandably delayed the release of Set It Off<\/em>, which was originally scheduled for that November.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy [did the album take] so long? A lot of things. I lost my brother is the main reason. I was gonna drop last year. I had got out of a creative space,\u201d Offset admitted to The Breakfast Club<\/em> earlier this month about the album\u2019s delay. \u201cI had to sit down for a minute and get with my momma and pray and get myself together.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso I wanted to perfect the craft. I wanted to make sure I dropped and it counted. Especially coming out the group, I wanted to make sure everything was aligned.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
