And Kamala is my partner in all of it,\u201d Biden said in a statement to 60 Minutes, which was included in the program\u2019s piece on the vice president. \u201cHarris\u2019s advice and counsel are invaluable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Correspondent Bill Whitaker, who conducted the interview with Harris, reported that she has joined President Biden for calls with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. She has also spoken to Israeli President Isaac Herzog about the ongoing situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Whitaker asked Harris about Biden\u2019s close relationship with Obama and about Biden\u2019s well-reported remark that he always wanted to be the last person in the room with the president.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you have that relationship with President Biden?\u201d Whitaker asked.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do, I do,\u201d Harris said. \u201cAnd I take that responsibility quite seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On how often she speaks with the president, Harris said, \u201cMultiple times a day quite often, unless he or I are <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ing.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The efforts to portray the relationship between Harris and Biden as close comes after a wave of bad\u00a0press, including reports that the two had a tense relationship and carried some lingering resentment from the 2020 campaign, when Harris pointedly called Biden out on his position on busing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the incumbent team <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaches the one-year mark out from the 2024 election, however, they appear to be seeking a reboot.<\/p>\n<p>In the 60 Minutes interview, Harris brushed off a question about the sense that some Democrats don\u2019t see Harris as the next leader of the Democratic Party, after Biden.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cFirst of all, I\u2019m not going to engage in that hypothetical because Joe Biden is very much alive and running for reelection,\u201d Harris said. \u201cI would say I hear from a lot of different people a lot of different things. But let me just tell you, I\u2019m focused on the job. I truly am.
