And I was really excited to work with him. I said, \u2018Well, I think he\u2019s a little bit precious.\u2019 And she said, \u2018Why?\u2019 I said, \u2018Because he\u2019s surrounded by people who are fawning over him,\u201d Peters recalled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s got a Chinese practitioner who\u2019s massaging his back when he walks off set. He\u2019s got a makeup lady who\u2019s massaging his feet. His girlfriend is there holding his hand. And I\u2019m thinking, \u2018Well, maybe the \u2018Black Panther\u2019 thing went to his head.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sXNaGrhjVIk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;fs=1&#038;autohide=2&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;wmode=transparent\" title=\"Video\" width=\"640\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Growing increasingly emotional, the former \u201cThe Wire\u201d star said no one knew he was battling stage 4 colon cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI regret even having those thoughts because they were really looking out for him,\u201d he said as he fought back tears.<\/p>\n<p>Boseman died last week after an extremely private battle with cancer. Only a select few knew about his diagnosis, including his agent, who said the disease was never going to stop Boseman.<\/p>\n<p>In hindsight, Peters said Boseman\u2019s work on \u201cDa 5 Bloods,\u201d which tells the story of four Vietnam veterans <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ing back to the country to find the remains of their friend (Boseman) who died in the war, as well as the gold fortune they hid, was even more impressive given his circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were in 104-degree weather, running with equipment up to 40 pounds on our backs, going through these scenes and that young man\u2026\u201d Peters said, before crying. \u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Honoring Boseman, Peters said he was more than just a Marvel hero.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve lost a very sweet soul. we lost a fine actor. We lost a man of integrity,\u201d Peters said. \u201cWhat we\u2019ve gained, basically, is a man who I think put a lot of younger people of color on track.
