It\u2019s common knowledge amongst the superstitious that the presence of black cats can only precede a string of misfortunes\u2026 depending on where you live. Some cultures consider them good luck, whereas others disagree. Regardless of your opinion on the, shall I say, aetheric attunement of black cats, you\u2019ll want to take a look at this clever hand-held radar created by Kinky Kashayam \u2014 a small team of industrial and creative designers based in New York City and Toronto. If only there were a machine that could show you all the black cats in your vicinity, so you could avoid crossing their paths and protect your luck.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The parallel childhood experiences of the founders \u2014 who\u2019d both developed their own thorough distrust of black cats for different, albeit similar reasons \u2014 formed the project\u2019s innermost inspirations. Recalling the incidents of their youth to Yanko Design, black cats crossing their paths seemed the likeliest culprits behind a strange encounter at an airport and less-than-stellar grades on a final exam. Its custom-printed red circuit board is sandwiched between see-through acrylic plates, containing a GPS, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Those are all necessary to project the user onto a virtual map relying on real coordinates to feed it live information \u2014 in fact, the radar\u2019s built-in software works much like a Niantic <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>, like Pok\u00e9mon Go. The display on the center of the radar shows the user\u2019s location while \u201cfictional black cats\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear as encounters on the aforementioned virtual map, and it sounds like there\u2019s a gameplay element behind the user\u2019s choice to avoid or interact with them.<\/p>\n<p>While there\u2019s no production schedule in place yet, it sounds like this is due to change soon; a few devices could get produced and distributed through the studio\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> channels.
