\n Disney CEO Bob Iger gave Frozen<\/em> fans a strong hint that two sequels of the studio\u2019s animated juggernaut may be in development.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWell, I\u2019ll give you a little surprise there, Michael. Frozen 3 <\/em>is in the works and there might be a Frozen 4 <\/em>in the works too,\u201d Iger told Good Morning America<\/em> co-anchors <\/a>Robin Givens and Michael Strahan from Hong Kong Disneyland, where the studio boss is on hand to open a new World of Frozen<\/em> theme<\/a>d land on Nov. 20.<\/p>\n

\n Disney looks to be doubling down on Elsa and Anna\u2019s story in Arendelle and the world of\u00a0Frozen<\/em>. Frozen II<\/em> in 2019 earned $1.4 billion in global box office, with the 2013 first installment bringing in $1.2 billion. Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel led the cast.<\/p>\n

\n Iger didn\u2019t say much about sequel plans for the Oscar-winning Frozen<\/em> franchise, though he did add: \u201cBut Jenn Lee, who created Frozen<\/em> \u2014 the original Frozen<\/em> and Frozen 2 <\/em>\u2014 is hard at work with her team at Disney Animation on not one but actually two stories\u2026 A little scoop.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Lee, Walt Disney Animation Studios\u2019 chief creative officer and\u00a0writer and director on the\u00a0Frozen\u00a0<\/em>films, earlier confirmed work on Frozen 3<\/em> had begun during an appearance at the BFI London Film Festival. Like Iger, she didn\u2019t give away story details about the latest sequel. \u201cEvery morning last week they carved out space for me to work with the creative team on it. And I\u2019m blown away, and I\u2019m so excited,\u201d she said in October.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
