Cassie has announced that she and Diddy have come to an agreement, settling their sexual assault lawsuit just one day after it made its way into the headlines.<\/p>\n

According to the New York Post<\/em><\/a>, the decision to settle was agreed upon on Friday (November 17) \u2014 just a day after the \u201cMe and You\u201d singer\u2019s lawsuit was filed in Manhattan federal court.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,\u201d Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura)\u00a0said in a statement (via the Post<\/em>). \u201cI want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Diddy (real name Sean Combs) shared his own statement, in which he explained the former couple had come to an agreement amicably.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have decided to resolve this matter amicably,\u201d he said. \u201cI wish Cassie and her family all the best.\u201d<\/p>\n

No details about the settlement have been disclosed.<\/p>\n

In her original suit, which was filed on Thursday (November 16), Cassie claimed that Diddy subjected her to a pattern of physical and emotional abuse throughout their roughly decade-long relationship.<\/p>\n

Her complaint included shocking allegations such as Diddy beating her \u201cmultiple times a year,\u201d plying her with \u201ccopious amounts\u201d of drugs and forcing her to have sex with male prostitutes while he filmed and masturbated to the encounters.<\/p>\n

The singer also claimed that towards the end of their relationship in 2018, the 54-year-old record executive forced his way into her apartment and raped her while she \u201crepeatedly said \u2018no\u2019 and tried to push him away.\u201d<\/p>\n

Puff was also alleged to have orchestrated a plan to blow up Kid Cudi\u2018s car in 2012 after he discovered that Cassie was dating the \u201cDay \u2018N\u2019 Nite\u201d rapp<\/a>er. A rep for Cudi confirmed to The New York Times<\/a><\/em> that one of his cars exploded in his driveway.<\/p>\n

The singer\u2019s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, said that before the suit was filed, Diddy \u201coffered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,\u201d but \u201cshe rejected his efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suit, which named Diddy and a number of his associated companies as defendants, was seeking unspecified damages.<\/p>\n

Diddy denied all of the allegations in a statement issued on Thursday via his attorney Ben Brafman.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,\u201d the statement began. \u201cFor the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura\u2019s persistent demand of $30million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs\u2019s reputation and seeking a payday.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
