The Japanese X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) account for the Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> anime<\/a> has announced that Episode 18 of Season 2 (Ep 42 overall) will have a slightly delayed release on streaming services. The episode will now begin to show up on November 24 at 6 PM JST instead of the usual time.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time of writing, Bilibili, which streams Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> Season 2 in a number of Southeast Asian countries, still lists the upcoming episode in the usual Thursday, 11:56 PM GMT+8 (12:56 AM JST) time slot.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> Season 2 started airing on July 6. The current \u201cShibuya Incident Arc\u201d began on August 31, a few weeks after the initial \u201cHidden Inventory Arc\u201d ended. The announcement of this streaming delay comes after a period of frustrated tweets by various animators and episode directors regarding the show\u2019s production, which Sakuga Blog\u2019s kVIN described<\/a> as having an \u201casphyxiating schedule.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jujutsu Kaisen<\/em> is based on the Shueisha-published supernatural action manga by\u00a0Gege Akutami<\/strong>, which began in 2018 and has 23 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. Viz Media describes the manga as:<\/span><\/p>\n
