{"id":598644,"date":"2023-11-23T05:56:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T02:56:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/fbi-ohio-walmart-shooting-may-have-been-racially-inspired\/"},"modified":"2023-11-23T05:56:46","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T02:56:46","slug":"fbi-ohio-walmart-shooting-may-have-been-racially-inspired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/fbi-ohio-walmart-shooting-may-have-been-racially-inspired\/","title":{"rendered":"#FBI: Ohio Walmart shooting may have been racially inspired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/655bdbe862a482.13261857.jpeg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A shooting which injured four people at an Ohio Walmart on Monday may have been racially motivated, the FBI said Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The suspected gunman, Benjamin Charles Jones, shot and killed himself at the Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cBased on evidence collected \u2014 including journal writings from the attacker, Benjamin Charles Jones \u2014 the attack may have been at least partially inspired by racially motivated violent extremist (RMVE) ideology,\u201d the FBI said in a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/contact-us\/field-offices\/cincinnati\/news\/fbi-and-beavercreek-police-provide-investigative-update\">statement<\/a> Wednesday. \u201cThe FBI will continue to investigate the motivating factors leading to this attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The four victims were a white woman, a white man and two Black women, the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI also said Jones purchased the assault-style weapon used in the shooting at a gun store in nearby Dayton, Ohio, last week.<\/p>\n<p>The agency described the investigation as \u201cvery active.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis has been an incredibly tragic incident,\u201d Beavercreek Police Capt.
