{"id":598807,"date":"2023-11-24T19:27:18","date_gmt":"2023-11-24T16:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/niagara-falls-police-identify-victims-of-rainbow-bridge-explosion\/"},"modified":"2023-11-24T19:27:18","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T16:27:18","slug":"niagara-falls-police-identify-victims-of-rainbow-bridge-explosion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/niagara-falls-police-identify-victims-of-rainbow-bridge-explosion\/","title":{"rendered":"#Niagara Falls police identify victims of Rainbow Bridge explosion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/rainbowbridge_11222023ap.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>New York police have identified the two victims who died in an explosion on the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls this week.<\/p>\n<p>The Niagara Falls Police Department said in a release that a husband and wife were killed in the explosion: 53-year-old Kurt Villani and 53-year-old Monica Villani, both of Grand Island, N.Y.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Police said the Wednesday explosion is still under investigation and they did not have any other details to share.<\/p>\n<p>Local authorities are undertaking the investigation as a traffic incident after the FBI wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed up its case, concluding the incident did not involve terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The Rainbow Bridge connects Niagara Falls, N.Y., into Niagara Falls, Ontario, and is a major border crossing for the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The car raced through an intersection and after hitting a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>n careened into a border crossing booth, where it exploded.<\/p>\n<p>While the incident raised fears of a terror attack, the FBI said there were no explosive materials at the scene and no evidence of a connection to terrorist groups.<\/p>\n<p>The crash prompted the closure of the bridge and other U.S.-Canada crossings from Ontario to New York, but they have since reopened.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>New York.
