Alien<\/em> has added a big name to its cast. Timothy Olyphant is joining Noah Hawley\u2019s sci-fi prequel series<\/a>. The FX series will air on Hulu\u00a0and also feature Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, and Kit Young.<\/p>\n

Details about Olyphant\u2019s character were not officially disclosed. Still, Deadline<\/a> teased that he plays \u201cKirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Chandler\u2019s Wendy, who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.\u201d<\/p>\n

Production on the sci-fi series began in July, but it was stalled due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. All script<\/a>s for the FX show were completed before the WGA strike began in May. Production on the show is set to resume in early 2024.<\/p>\n

The premiere date for Alien<\/em> will be announced later.<\/p>\n
