Gavin <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>om (D-Calif.) on Friday over his recent debate with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.).<\/p>\n<p>The pair faced off Thursday in a \u201cred vs. blue\u201d debate, pitting the two most high-profile governors against each other. Both landed jabs, but Gingrich paid special attention to Newsom\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cGavin is very clever, but if you watched him last night, there were two things going on; praising Joe Biden to prove to the Democratic Party he\u2019s loyal, and personally attacking Governor DeSantis because he couldn\u2019t answer the questions,\u201d Gingrich said <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6342206920112\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6342206920112\">in an interview<\/a> with Fox News\u2019s Sean Hannity, who moderated the debate.<\/p>\n<p>Gingrich lauded Hannity for staying out of the partisan fights. Analysts, however, noted that the politically active host often sided with DeSantis and painted Florida in a more positive light than California.<\/p>\n<p>Both governors frequently attacked each other throughout the night on COVID-19 policy, housing, taxation and their political futures.<\/p>\n<p>That included hard hits from Newsom calling out DeSantis for a presidential campaign which has failed to reach expectations. The Sunshine State governor is polling significantly behind the race\u2019s front-runner, former President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNewsom had to go on the attack and be personal rather than deal with the issues,\u201d Gingrich said.<\/p>\n<p>The debate likely failed to change the opinions of many viewers on the pair of politicians, but the event sparked waves of praise for both men from their respective allies.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Still, the 90-minute event netted a total of 4.7 million viewers for the network, according to Nielsen <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Research data, including 742,000 in the key advertising demographic of viewers aged 25-54.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2023 Nexstar Media Inc.
