\n Paramount+ has released an intense first look at the second season of Halo<\/em>, promising more battles in this next chapter for Master Chief and the search for the key to humankind\u2019s salvation or its extinction. <\/p>\n

\n Showrunner David Wiener, star Pablo Schreiber and new cast member Joseph Morgan unveiled the new footage as part of a presentation at CCXP S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil on Saturday. The panel also confirmed the season two return date of Feb. 8, 2024.<\/p>\n

\n The second season of the Paramount+ series<\/a> based on the iconic video game<\/a> franchise is set to see Schreiber\u2019s Master Chief John-117 lead his elite team of Spartans against the Covenant, a formidable alien threat which are also teased in the nearly minute-and-a-half first look. <\/p>\n

\n Following a shocking event on a desolate planet, John becomes more convinced the war is about to change and that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity\u2019s greatest stronghold. Risking everything with the galaxy on the brink, he sets out to prove what no one else will believe and find the Halo. <\/p>\n

\n The action-packed trailer not only teases more battles, but a new look at Cortana (Jen Taylor). Also teased is Morgan\u2019s James Ackerson, \u201ca formidable intelligence operative who has spent his career climbing the ranks of the UNSC\u2019s secretive Office of Naval Intelligence,\u201d according to the series. <\/p>\n

\n In addition to Morgan joining the cast for season two, Cristina Rodlo will play Talia Perez, a new recruit and corporal specializing in linguistics for a UNSC Marine Corps communications unit. Returning cast includes Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O\u2019Shaughnessy, and Tylan Bailey.<\/p>\n

\n Season one of Halo<\/em> is currently available to stream on Paramount+. <\/p>\n
