\n Simon Pegg is predicting that Tom Cruise will eventually depart the Mission: Impossible<\/em> franchise to pursue other creative opportunities that are \u201ccompletely different.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Cruise is known for challenging himself in his roles by taking on his own stunts, including several that have been death-defying. And Pegg, who has starred as Benji Dunn in every\u00a0Mission: Impossible<\/em> film\u00a0since 2006\u2019s installment, has been there to witness many of them.<\/p>\n

\n During a recent interview with The Independent<\/a><\/em>, The Boys<\/em> actor was asked if he could see himself continuing to work with Cruise post-Mission: Impossible<\/em>, whenever that may be.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI don\u2019t know,\u201d he said. \u201cI love working with Tom, and he\u2019s really good fun to work with but I get the feeling that when Tom goes off and does other things, it\u2019ll be a completely different thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Pegg believes there\u2019s more to Cruise that fans haven\u2019t gotten the chance to see on the big screen yet.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cHe has a whole other age to come in his career,\u201d he explained. \u201cHe\u2019s a very good actor, a very, very good actor \u2014 as we\u2019ve seen in Magnolia<\/em> and Jerry Maguire<\/em>\u2026 I think when he finally stops jumping off shit, he\u2019ll have a third act. And yes, it\u2019d be nice to be a part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Cruise began seeking the thrill of doing his own stunts in 1986\u2019s\u00a0Top Gun<\/em> and has continued to push the limits of his body and acting ever since.<\/p>\n

\n But the action star has no plans to step away from his Ethan Hunt character anytime soon. Earlier this year, Cruise said he wants to keep making Mission: Impossible<\/em> films into his 80s, like Harrison Ford, with his Indiana Jones<\/em> films.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cHarrison Ford is a legend, I hope to be still going, I\u2019ve got 20 years to catch up with him,\u201d Cruise told the\u00a0Sydney Morning Herald<\/em> in a July interview. \u201cI hope to keep making\u00a0Mission: Impossible<\/em>\u00a0films until I\u2019m his age.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
