2Pac was app<\/a>arently working on a full project with Goodie Mob before his passing, according to a group member.<\/p>\n

During an interview with According 2 Hip Hop<\/em> published on Tuesday (November 28), Big Gipp said that the Southern legends were working on a record with Pac, though he didn\u2019t say much else about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore he got out [of] Death Row, he was already calling our office and was like, \u2018Yo, when I get out, I\u2019m comin\u2019 to Atlanta,\u2019\u201d he explained. \u201cHe\u2019d did New York, he\u2019d did LA and I think he\u2019d wanted to come and finish his career off in Atlanta.\u201d<\/p>\n

Big Gipp has previously talked about \u2018Pac and his relationship with Goodie Mob, even going so far as to claim that the \u201cDear Mama\u201d wanted to join the group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In a 2o21 interview that seems to stand in some contrast to his new one, Gipp stated that his group turned down working with the rapper and actor<\/a> because \u201cbeing in business with Death Row \u2014 we just knew that wasn\u2019t the right thing for us at the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gipp has always expressed his admiration for Shakur. Earlier this year, the Goodie Mob member voiced his dissatisfaction with Billboard<\/em> and Vibe<\/em>\u2019s Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time<\/a> list, claiming that if 2Pac were still alive, he would have lyrically bested JAY-Z.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only reason why you inching Jay past 2Pac is because he got god-damn Beyonc\u00e9,\u201d Gipp said in an interview with The Art of Dialogue<\/em>. \u201cYou take Beyonc\u00e9 away then shit, bar for bar, yeah, he might rap better than \u2018Pac. But \u2018Pac came with the heart. That\u2019s different, that\u2019s just different. You can never beat the heart, bro. Some people can be technical, just like the difference between Jordan and LeBron.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cIf \u2018Pac was here, who you think the girl would have been with? Hold up \u2026 you still can\u2019t act. You can\u2019t do no movies<\/a>, you can\u2019t do what \u2018Pac was doing. C\u2019mon, how can you be better than \u2018Pac? \u2026 that boy was a trip<\/a>le threat. He did groups that was successful, solo albums that was successful and movies that was successful. If he had lived, he would have smoked everything walking.<\/p>\n

He concluded that no one recorded \u201cas fast\u201d as 2Pac, and noted that girls loved him back when he starred as Bishop in the film Juice<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
