\n John Oliver opened Sunday\u2019s Last Week Tonight<\/em> with a few jokes at the expense of both George Santos and Fabio.<\/p>\n

\n Oliver noted at the start of his HBO show the news<\/a> regarding disgraced congressman Santos, who on Friday he became the first U.S. House member to be expelled in more than 20 years. He is also only the sixth House member in history to be removed by his colleagues.<\/p>\n

\n The move came after Santos became the subject of a scathing ethics committee report on his conduct after details about his life story were found to be embellished or false. Among the claims he later admitted to fabricating were that he hailed from Jewish ancestors and worked at top Wall Street firms including Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, along with where he went to college.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cGeorge Santos [previously announced he wouldn\u2019t be seeking re-election after an ethics committee report \u2014 that he disputes \u2014 found, among other things, he\u2019d used campaign donations for personal purchases on Botox, Sephora and OnlyFans, and honestly, I like him now and I think he should stay,\u201d Oliver quipped.<\/p>\n

\n He then moved on to discuss the Israel\u2013Hamas war and the fact that Fox Business had an unexpected celebrity on-air to share his thoughts about it.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIsrael\u2019s airstrikes and ground invasion continued in Gaza, and the discourse on it here reached its absolute nadir when Fox Business welcomed Fabio for a 10-minute interview on the subject, including this wild digression concerning Hamas,\u201d Oliver said before a clip of the interview was shown.<\/p>\n

\n In the clip, Fabio says: \u201cThese people, they find so much pleasure to kill. These are worse, 10 times, 10,000 times worse, than a Nazi, you know, and also they advertise, they publicize, they are so happ<\/a>y. \u2018Hey, I killed them. I did that.\u2019 You know, it\u2019s like at least the Nazis, they kept it kind of quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Replied Oliver: \u201cWhat? Hold on, Fabio. Far be it from me to contradict a noted geopolitical expert and former I Can\u2019t Believe It\u2019s Not Butter spokesperson, but \u2018at least the Nazis kept it kind of quiet\u2019? The Nazis kept it many things. They kept it punctual. They kept it blonde. They kept it humorous, and yes, they kept it tight. They were well-tailored pieces of shit, but subtlety was famously very much not their calling card, Fabio,\u201d he added, showing a photo of what appeared to be an ostentatious Nazi parade complete with huge banners and numerous bicycles.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
