\n App<\/a>le TV+ will continue exploring the universe of Foundation<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n The streamer has picked up a third season of the sci-fi series<\/a> based on the works of Issac Asimov. Foundation<\/em>, which comes from Skydance Television and showrunner David S. Goyer, concluded its second season in September.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cI\u2019m thrilled Apple has given us the opportunity to continue chronicling Asimov\u2019s pioneering galactic saga,\u201d Goyer said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cThis time, the stakes for Foundation and Empire are even higher as\u00a0the Mule takes center stage, along with fan-favorites Bayta,Toran, Ebling, and Magnifico Giganticus.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n Foundation<\/em> is a centuries-spanning story based on Asimov\u2019s landmark sci-fi novels, which the author in turn based on ideas Asimov took from Edward Gibbon\u2019s Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire<\/em>. Season two was set more than 100 years after the end of the first season as it continues to tell the stories of four individuals\u00a0transcending space and time as they overcome crises, shifting loyalties and complicated relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity.<\/p>\n
