hosted by Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>\u2019 Sean Hannity on Tuesday, a night before the fourth Republican primary debate that the GOP frontrunner is once again skipping.<\/p>\n<p>The former president was asked questions by only Hannity of a variety of topics, from reports that cast his second term as a dictatorship, President Biden\u2019s age and health and Trump\u2019s stances on foreign policy and energy issues before a friendly crowd that largely cheered Trump on when he took the stage. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The event comes just weeks ahead of the Iowa caucus on Jan. 15, 2024, the first in the nation caucuses in the primary calendar and in a state Trump is leading his main GOP rivals by double-digits, according to recent surveys.<\/p>\n<p>Here are five takeaways from Trump\u2019s town hall with Hannity.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Trump_answers_%E2%80%98dictator_question\"><\/span><strong>Trump <\/strong>answers \u2018dictator\u2019 question<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In one of Hannity\u2019s early questions of Trump, he asked the former president about <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> reports from over the weekend that cast a potential second-term as a dictatorship, something Trump\u2019s allies later fired back on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey want to call you a dictator,\u201d Hannity said referring to the media reports. \u201cTo be clear, do you in any way have any plans whatsoever, if reelected president, to abuse power, to break the law, to use the government to go after people?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou mean like they\u2019re using right now,\u201d Trump initially responded, before pivoting to speaking about the criminal indictments he faces.<\/p>\n<p>Hannity again revisited the question just before a commercial break, asking: \u201c[U]nder no circumstances. You are promising America tonight. You would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cExcept for day one,\u201d Trump responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExcept, what? Hannity asked, before Trump said \u201cHe\u2019s going crazy. Except for day one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeaning?\u201d Hannity asked.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill,\u201d Trump responded. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s not retribution,\u201d Hannity said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love this guy, he says, \u2018you\u2019re not going to be a dictator are you?\u2019 I said no, no, no, other than day one. We\u2019re closing the border and we\u2019re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I\u2019m not a dictator,\u201d Trump said to the Fox News host.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr4_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The Democratic National Committee (DNC) and President Biden\u2019s reelection campaign quickly seized on the comments, with the campaign sharing a video of the remarks and the DNC sharing the video with the caption \u201cAnd there you have it.\u201d The Biden campaign also blasted out an email to its supports right after the town hall wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed with the subject line: \u201cDonald Trump: Day One Dictator.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Trump_swipes_at_Bidens_%E2%80%98cognitive_state\"><\/span><strong>Trump swipes at Biden\u2019s<\/strong> \u2018cognitive state\u2019<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Trump bashed Biden after being asked about the current president\u2019s \u201ccognitive state\u201d amid concerns about the president\u2019s age and health as he runs for reelection for another four years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trump initially responded that it\u2019s \u201cnot for me to say,\u201d but went on to suggest that Biden \u201cdoesn\u2019t know he\u2019s alive\u201d and contended he doesn\u2019t think the president can \u201cphysically\u201d make it through another term.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr5_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cNuclear weapons are the biggest problem we have. And we have a man that can\u2019t put two sentences together. We have a man that doesn\u2019t know he\u2019s alive. And he\u2019s backed up by the media,\u201d the former president added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At 81, Biden is the oldest sitting president in the country\u2019s history, and would be 86 at the end of a second term \u2014 which has prompted concerns about his health and whether he\u2019s too old for reelection.<\/p>\n<p>Trump is just a few years younger, at 77.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr6_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Hannity noted Biden criticism from some Democrats \u2014 including from former President Obama\u2019s senior adviser David Axelrod, who recently suggested Biden drop out of the 2024 race \u2014 and asked Trump whether he thinks the incumbent will be the Democrats\u2019 nominee in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI personally don\u2019t think he makes it. I haven\u2019t said that, I\u2019ve been saving it for this big town hall,\u201d Trump said, adding that he thinks Biden is in \u201cbad shape physically\u201d and joking that if he blew on Biden, the president would fall over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI personally don\u2019t think he makes it physically,\u201d Trump said. \u201cMentally, I would say he\u2019s equally as bad and maybe worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr7_ab\"><\/aside>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Trump_likens_himself_to_Al_Capone\"><\/span>Trump likens himself to Al Capone<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The former president likened himself to infamous gangster Al Capone in talking about the slew of criminal indictments he faces both on the federal and state levels involving the potential mishandling of classified documents and election interference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve often said, Al Capone, he was one of the greatest of all time, if you like criminals. He was a mob boss, the likes of which \u2014 Scarface, they call him. And he got indicted once. I got indicted four times,\u201d Trump said to laughter from the crowd. \u201cI wonder what my father and mother would say looking down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump has previously said he\u2019s been indicted more than Capone, including in a speech last month in Iowa. The former president has criminal indictments in four separate cases, making him the first former or current president to ever be indicted for an alleged crime. <\/p>\n<p>He has pleaded not guilty to all 91 charges he faces. His legal troubles have so far only widened his massive lead in the Republican primary ahead of his opponents.<\/p>\n<p>The indictments\u00a0involve the potential mishandling of classified documents, some of which were taken as part of an FBI search of his Florida estate in Mar-a-Lago, his efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, a federal case over his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol, and falsifying business records in a hush money case in New York.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Energy_foreign_policy_at_forefront\"><\/span><strong>Energy, foreign policy at forefront<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Energy and foreign policy were at the forefront as Trump talked about his priorities and actions he\u2019d take during a second term in the Oval Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Responding to Hannity\u2019s questions about whether he\u2019d act as a \u201cdictator\u201d or \u201cabuse power as retribution\u201d during another presidential term, Trump said he\u2019d do so only on day one \u2014 to close the border and to drill for oil.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will close the border. Day\u00a0one: the border gets closed.\u00a0Day one and a half: we drill,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd probably on day two we will\u00a0get rid of this ridiculous\u00a0electric car mandate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On energy, he also claimed that U.S. climate envoy John Kerry is laughed at by people \u201call over the world\u201d as he pushes to get rid of coal plants.<\/p>\n<p>Kerry said this week that \u201cthere shouldn\u2019t be any more coal power plants permitted anywhere in the world,\u201d sounding alarms about the connections between the climate crisis and health problems.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur country can be rich again. John Kerry has to be stopped. He is destroying our country, this guy,\u201d Trump told Hannity. \u201cHe goes all over the world talking to these people about getting rid of coal plants. They all laugh at him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And on foreign policy, Trump stressed concerns about the southern border and touted the controversial <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> ban that went into effect during his administration, targeting several Muslim-majority countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemember, I had the travel ban. I said \u2018I don\u2019t want people coming from countries that want to blow us up.\u2019 And we put a travel ban and some people thought I was discriminating, but think about it. I went four years with no problem,\u201d Trump said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t have buildings being knocked down. We didn\u2019t have World Trade Centers,\u201d he added, in apparent reference to the 9\/11 terror attacks in New York City.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%98Blitzing_Iowa\"><\/span>\u2018Blitzing\u2019 <strong>Iowa<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Trump expressed confidence going into the Iowa caucus next month, saying he had two big victories there the last two times he ran in 2016 and 2020 and expects to win by even more in 2024. <\/p>\n<p>He also said he plans to spend the weeks leading up to the caucus \u201cblitzing\u201d Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love you very much. You\u2019ve been so incredible to me. I\u2019m gonna be around for the next, you know, five weeks now. And we\u2019ll be coming here a little bit and then the last couple of weeks we\u2019ll be blitzing because we don\u2019t want to take\u2014we\u2019re up I guess by like 30 or 40 points, but we\u2019re not taking any chances. We don\u2019t want to take any chances,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Polls have consistently shown Trump leading his rivals by more than 20 percentage points in Iowa and his lead in national polls is even greater.<\/p>\n<p>The former president also touted that he fought to keep Iowa caucuses first in the nation after the Democrats opted to put South Carolina first in 2024, in a move pushed by Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIowa represents this country more than any place and it also represents tradition. When you think of Iowa you think of farms and politics.
