                                Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has slammed Gary Gensler and the SEC at the Republican presidential debate.\n                <p>Presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy came down hard on SEC chair Gary Gensler and other \u201cthree letter agencies\u201d during the recent Republican presidential debate, claiming that regulators had failed to keep up with crypto.\n<\/code><\/pre>\n
During the 4th Republican presidential debate of the 2024 cycle on Dec. 7, Ramaswamy said it was \u201cnothing short of embarrassing\u201d that Gensler couldn\u2019t admit before Congress that Ethereum\u2019s native currency Ether (ETH), should be viewed as a commodity.<\/p>\n
Ramaswamy is one of a few presidential candidates who have made crypto a central theme<\/a> of their campaign. Notably, he is the only Republican presidential candidate to unveil a crypto policy framework.<\/p>\n
