\nIt was a close call for the Chiefs as the game wound down and Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, watched on.\n<\/p>\n

\nKelce, 34, tried a trick play in the final minutes of the fourth quarter that app<\/a>eared to score a thrilling and potential game-winning touchdown for the Chiefs, only for the play to be called back on a penalty. The final score was 20-17.\n<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

\nThe loss comes after the Chiefs’ Dec. 3 game, which marked their first loss while Swift was in attendance.\u00a0Kansas City’s record so far this season is 8-5.\n<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

\nThe \u201cKarma\u201d singer, wearing red Chiefs gear, sat alongside Kelce\u2019s loved ones in a stadium suite during the game.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe game comes just days after the Grammy-winning singer opened up to Time <\/em><\/a>about her relationship with Kelce and the impact it\u2019s had on NFL broadcasts and fans.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m being shown 17 times or once,\u201d she said, referring to the cameras she can\u2019t see as she cheers on her beau. \u201cI\u2019m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I\u2019m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\nSwift also admitted that cheering from a box at an NFL stadium is a new role for her, but it\u2019s one she\u2019s enjoying. \u201cFootball is awesome, it turns out,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve been missing out my whole life.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\nThe 33-year-old was uncharacteristically forthcoming about her romance, telling Time <\/em>that she\u2019s been dating Kelce for longer than some people initially speculated. She said they began dating soon after he mentioned her on his podcast in July.\n<\/p>\n

\n“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
