The Day Before<\/em> developer Fntastic has shut down one week after the game<\/a>\u2019s Early Access launch, the company announced<\/a>, citing the game\u2019s financial failure as reason for the closure. <\/p>\n

The Day Before<\/em> launched in Early Access for PC via Steam<\/a> on December 7 to \u201cmostly negative\u201d reviews. It was expected to remain in Early Access for six to eight months, but now that Fntastic has shut down, the future of the game is unknown. Servers will remain online for the time being.<\/p>\n

Today, we announce the closure of Fntastic studio. Unfortunately, The Day Before<\/em> has failed financially, and we lack the funds to continue. All income received is being used to pay off debts to our partners.<\/p>\n

We invested all our efforts, resources, and man-hours into the development of The Day Before<\/em>, which was our first huge game. We really wanted to release new patches to reveal the full potential of the game, but unfortunately, we don\u2019t have the funding to continue the work.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s important to note that we didn\u2019t take any money from the public during the development of The Day Before<\/em>; there were no pre-orders or crowdfunding campaigns. We worked tirelessly for five years, pouring our blood, sweat, and tears into the game.<\/p>\n

At the moment, the future of The Day Before<\/em> and Propnight<\/em> is unknown, but the servers will remain operational.<\/p>\n

We apologize if we didn\u2019t meet your expectations. We did everything within our power, but unfortunately, we miscalculated our capabilities. Creating games is an incredibly challenging endeavor.<\/p>\n
