Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder said the Department of Defense will ensure that Santa Claus travel<\/a>s safely this holiday season.<\/p>\n Ryder was responding to a question from reporter Jeff Schogol, about Santa\u2019s \u201cassets and personnel\u201d involved in his escort on Dec. 24 and 25.<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, that\u2019s controlled, unclassified information but I can assure you that we will ensure Santa gets wherever he needs to go, safely and securely,\u201d Ryder said at Thursday press conference<\/a>, which prompted laughs from reporters.<\/p>\n Ryder said the department\u2019s teammates at the North American Aerospace Defense Command \u201cwill have much more information\u201d on Santa\u2019s trip.<\/p>\n The NORAD Santa Tracker<\/a> is an online webpage that simulates tracking Santa as he makes stops around the world to deliver presents on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure he\u2019ll be on time and in place for Christmas,\u201d Ryder said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Copyright 2023 Nexstar Media<\/a> Inc.
