{"id":601523,"date":"2023-12-18T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/a-media-dedicated-to-saving-democrats\/"},"modified":"2023-12-18T15:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-12-18T12:00:00","slug":"a-media-dedicated-to-saving-democrats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/a-media-dedicated-to-saving-democrats\/","title":{"rendered":"#A media dedicated to saving Democrats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/12\/Congress-Hunter-Biden_121323_AP_Jose-Luis-Magana.jpg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>            <iframe title=\"Audio Article\" id=\"instaread_iframe\" name=\"instaread_playlist\" scrolling=\"no\" allow=\"autoplay\" style=\"display:block\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" frameborder=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There is no easier job in Washington than serving as a press secretary for a Democratic politician.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because the liberal press just does your job for you.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Consider, for example, this work of art\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/comer-shell-company-biden-hunter-impeachment-6fde28673d5dced307b95cab8425c7ba\">from the Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cThe Republican leading the probe of Hunter Biden has his own shell company and complicated friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the record, Hunter Biden stands accused of overseeing a massive, multi-million-dollar influence-peddling operation throughout his father\u2019s political career, trading on the family name to strike potentially illegal business deals with Chinese and other foreign nationals. During the 2020 campaign, President Biden stated unequivocally that he had \u201cnever discussed\u201d and \u201cnever talked\u201d to his son about his business interests, which was later shown to be untrue. <\/p>\n<p>The president also claimed that his son \u201chas not made money\u201d dealing with China, which is also false. Hunter took in about $7 million from foreign sources, beginning at around the time of his father\u2019s vice presidency. Hunter and his business associates formed at least 15 companies (many of which are now defunct) during his father\u2019s vice presidency. Nearly 20 Biden-linked LLCs were used to move the cash around. Moreover, then Vice President Biden himself <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently used pseudonyms to exchange emails with his son regarding said influence-peddling scheme.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, there\u2019s House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), the Republican targeted by the AP, who co-owns six acres of land with a campaign contributor as part of an LLC worth between $500,000 and $1 million. This for-profit venture\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/12\/14\/news\/comer-slams-ap-report-likening-his-shell-company-to-bidens\/\">reported no dividends in 2022<\/a>, according to the Republican lawmaker\u2019s\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/disclosures-clerk.house.gov\/public_disc\/financial-pdfs\/2022\/10053898.pdf\">2022 financial disclosures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For a journalist sufficiently motivated to make Hunter Biden\u2019s behavior seem normal, this is basically the same thing as a multimillion-dollar influence-operation involving Ukrainian business interests, Chinese nationals and the White House. You know \u2014 \u201ctomato, tomahto,\u201d right?<\/p>\n<p>Another example of this absurd public relations-style of journalism comes from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2023\/12\/09\/susanna-gibson-virginia-digital-privacy-00130883#:~:text=My%20entire%20life%20was%20rocked,described%20Republican%20operatives%20shopped%20around.\">Politico Magazine<\/a>, which published an interview seemingly designed to rehabilitate failed Virginia Democratic candidate Susanna Gibson. Gibson became famous when her penchant for performing sex acts on a public website for online public audiences derailed her bid for the Virginia House of Delegates.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cMy entire life was rocked on Sept. 11,\u201d Gibson said. She was referring, of course, to Sept. 11, 2023, the day her online performances made the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>, but she lacked the self-awareness to recognize just how hilarious that sentence is in the context of U.S. history. \u201cThey had found these videos on the dark web and shopped them around to various news outlets. I didn\u2019t have any idea that there were ever videos of me that had been made and uploaded to multiple sites.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the record, Gibson had an account on a legal webcam site, where she and her husband performed sex acts for online audiences. In between performances, they solicited donations (\u201ctokens\u201d and \u201ctips\u201d) from viewers and took requests.<\/p>\n<p>When not creating pornography, Gibson is a nurse practitioner, her husband an attorney. Both are sentient human beings in the 21st century, which means they know that anything you put online will be there forever. Yet in Gibson\u2019s telling, she is the victim, in no way responsible for her own webcam sex shows that she livestreamed. In fact, she now talks about suing the person \u201cwho found and then disseminated illegal pornographic images of me \u2014 again, violating federal and state laws \u2014 they need to be held accountable\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr3_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>\u201cI think a big underlying factor that really needs to be addressed, and our society needs to start being educated on, is there is this devaluation and misunderstanding of consent, especially when we\u2019re talking about digital privacy,\u201d she said. \u201cJust because someone consented to share something in one particular context doesn\u2019t mean that it is or should be fair <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a> for the whole world to see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More amazing than Gibson\u2019s total lack of introspection and sense of personal responsibility is Politico\u2019s complete failure to push back on her delusional claims. The interviewer did nothing to correct the record or challenge her allegation that her privacy was somehow violated because people noticed the public sex shows she had performed online. Rather, the piece fully indulged Gibson\u2019s delusions, as well as the grievances of defeated Virginia Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>But this is nothing new, either \u2014 this is essentially the Rep.\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/lets-not-rehabilitate-katie-hill\">Katie Hill (D-Calif.) rehab tour, 2.0<\/a>. Which raises an important question: We know what the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> do when Republicans are caught in a scandal.\u00a0They hold them accountable. But is there anything our media will not do to burnish and touch up the images of Democrats caught in gross, seedy, shady and even obviously corrupt behavior?<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr4_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Finally \u2014 and it\u2019s a smaller thing, but still \u2014 please compare the following CNN headlines, both of which concern people defying House subpoenas. See if you can detect a slight difference in tone.<\/p>\n<p>First: \u201c\u2019I have made mistakes in my life\u2019: Hunter Biden speaks on Capitol Hill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Second: \u201cSteve Bannon defied a congressional subpoena. Find out his punishment.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr5_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The worst thing about so much of today\u2019s news reporting isn\u2019t that it\u2019s one-sided \u2014 it\u2019s that it is so one-sided as to be boring.
