American Pickers<\/em> returned to the History Channel for its 25th season premiere earlier this week, and viewers saw one recurring member of the show\u2019s cast bumped up to series<\/a> regular status.<\/p>\n

The reality series follows a group of pickers \u2013 Mike and Robbie Wolfe and Danielle Colby \u2013 as they travel<\/a> the country looking for rare American artifacts to add to their collections or sell to antique shops.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Per TV Insider<\/a>, viewers will see more Jon \u201cJersey Jon\u201d Szalay in the series. He has app<\/a>eared on episodes of the series since early in the show\u2019s run, but now he will be a permanent fixture.<\/p>\n

Szalay will help fill the gap left by original cast member Frank Fritz\u2019s departure. Fritz left the show in 2020 to have back surgery and is reportedly recovering from a July 2022 stroke.<\/p>\n

History added the following bio for Szalay to the show\u2019s website:<\/p>\n

A born relic hunter with a sense of humor and spirit for adventure, Jersey Jon began restoring antique furniture in his youth. By 17, he had bought an old bank building that he gradually converted into a combined workshop and home headquarters.<\/p>\n

Born, raised and based in New Jersey, he is an expert in early American motorcycles, and restoring and conserving furniture and antiques are his passions. Jersey Jon is a long-time picking pal of Mike Wolfe and has been a fan favorite since his first appearance on American Pickers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

American Pickers<\/em> airs on Wednesday nights on History Channel.<\/p>\n
