Frasier<\/em> wrapp<\/a>ed its first season earlier this month, and those behind the series<\/a> are already talking about a development viewers could see in season two and beyond. Star Kelsey Grammer has said that he believes the series has a long future ahead, but Paramount+ has yet to officially renew the comedy series for a second season.<\/p>\n

Starring Grammer, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Jack Cutmore-Scott, Anders Keith, Jess Salgueiro, and Toks Olagundoye, the series follows Dr. Frasier Crane (Grammer) as he returns to Boston to reconnect with his son Freddy (Cutmore-Scott) and live the next chapter of his life.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

If Frasier<\/em> returns for more, fans could see a romance develop between Freddy and his friend, Eve (Salgueiro). Executive producers Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli both spoke with TV Insider<\/a> about the potential of a romance between the pair. Harris said:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s definitely always been a thought of ours, but we want to make sure that we do what feels right for the characters.<\/p>\n

We decided there was no way we were going to match that idea of this one person chasing this other person. So let\u2019s slow play it. Let\u2019s not put it front and center. Let\u2019s sort of mimic life in a way and see what feels natural as we slowly unpack it. But it\u2019s definitely something that we\u2019re thinking about.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Cristalli added his own thoughts about how a romance between the pair would be complicated. He said the following:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn just the realm of common decency, his best friend [with whom Eve had a baby] died pretty recently, so it feels like you can\u2019t really do anything for a couple seasons. You can maybe give some hints, and maybe if it\u2019s there, it\u2019ll blossom. But yeah, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anything imminent that could possibly happen for them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
