Toni Braxton and Birdman have not gotten married, despite several claims to the contrary.<\/p>\n

Rumors began circulating online that the singer and the Cash Money CEO tied the knot in Mexico, with Toni\u2019s sister Tamar Braxton even playing along with the rumors by claiming that she\u2019d been \u201cblowing up\u201d her sister\u2019s phone to find out the truth.<\/p>\n

Toni, however, took to her Instagram on Sunday (December 31) to immedia<\/a>tely quash the chatter. \u201cMy dear friend @birdman and I are not married\u2026never been married,\u201d she wrote in the caption of her post, which she titled #FakeNews<\/a>. \u201cWe are both single.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toni Braxton and Birdman have had an on-again, off-again relationship for many years.<\/p>\n

The pair, who started out as friends, began dating in 2016 after rumors had already started surfacing about their relationship. Toni addressed the nature of their relationship in a 2017 episode of Braxton Family Values<\/a><\/em>, where she revealed that Birdman was an \u201cundercover romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tamar also confirmed that the pair had been dating in an episode of The Wendy Williams Show from the same year, in which she called Birdman \u201cher brother-in-law.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rumors about how far their relationship had gone popped up periodically over the years, with a rumor about their marriage getting shot down by Toni\u2019s rep in 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cToni is dating,\u201d the rep said. \u201c[She] has a new single called \u2018Deadwood\u2019 from her forthcoming album Sex & Cigarettes. It will be released in early 2018.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple\u2019s creative and professional relationship stretches back to 2002 when they collaborated on Birdman\u2019s song \u201cBaby You Can Do It.\u201d<\/p>\n

Things went quiet for a little while, with the couple firing things back up in 2019 after brief rumors of a split.<\/p>\n

As might be expected, they shared their renewed love in an Instagram post, with Birdman writing \u201c4Lyfe @ToniBraxton\u201d in a caption of a photo of the pair hugging that has since been deleted.<\/p>\n

But last month, the chatter began heating back up when Toni Braxton posted a photo of herself with Birdman, implying that their partnership was still going strong.<\/p>\n
