The potential fallout not only includes reputational damage but also significantly diminishes the chances of an ad reaching its intended audience, likely causing a significant impact on ROI.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The claim.<\/strong> New Mexico Attorney General, Ra\u00fal Torrez, has accused Meta of \u201cenabling adults to find, message and groom minors\u201d for sexual exploitation. He said in a statement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cNew evidence indicates Meta\u00a0officials are duping corporate advertisers and permitting sponsored content to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear alongside deeply disturbing images and videos that clearly violate Meta\u2019s promised standards.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cMr Zuckerberg and Meta are refusing to be honest and transparent about what is taking place on Meta\u2019s platforms.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Match reacts.<\/strong> Match reportedly informed Meta that ads for its dating apps were running adjacent to \u201cdisturbing\u201d and \u201cclearly illegal\u201d content, including graphic films of women being murdered, reports the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2024\/jan\/09\/meta-facebook-instagram-sexually-explicit-content-minors-walmart-match\">Guardian<\/a>. When Meta allegedly failed to take action, Match\u2019s CEO, Bernard Kim, wrote a complaint directly to Mark Zuckerberg \u2013 but he allegedly did not respond.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walmart responds. <\/strong>Meta filed a complaint to Meta in October, claiming that the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> giant\u2019s \u201clevel of attention\/consideration\u201d to brand safety had \u201cdisappeared.\u201d Responding to the court filing, a Walmart spokesperson said in a statement: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cWe take brand safety issues extremely seriously, and protecting our customers and communities will always be a top priority.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What Meta is saying.<\/strong> A spokesperson for Meta told Search Engine Land:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cWe don\u2019t want this kind of content on our platforms and brands don\u2019t want their ads to appear next to it.\u201d <\/li>\n<li>\u201cWe continue to invest aggressively to stop it \u2013 and report every quarter on the prevalence of such content, which remains very low.\u201d <\/li>\n<li>\u201cOur systems are effective at reducing violating content, and we\u2019ve invested billions in safety, security and brand suitability solutions.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-css-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><!-- START INLINE FORM --><br \/>\n<!-- END INLINE FORM --><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-css-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\"><strong>Deep dive<\/strong>.
