Drake and Metro Boomin\u2018s beef has continued to heat up, with the Scorpion<\/em> rapp<\/a>er suspected of firing the latest round from the clip.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram story posted on Friday (January 12), Champagne Papi posted a screenshot of 21 Savage\u2018s latest album, American Dream<\/em>. At first glance, the 6 God seemed to be shouting out the UK native, with the caption, \u201cTalk to them, brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

The only problem was, at the very bottom of the post, there were shouting emojis that covered up Metro Boomin\u2019s name. Fans wondered if that was an intentional bit of disrespect.<\/p>\n

\u201cViolated metro on his own beat too,\u201d commented one fan on a\u00a0No Jumper\u00a0<\/em>post pointing out the situation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe could\u2019ve just played a different song and screenshotted it but he chose to make a scene,\u201d wrote another.<\/p>\n

While Drake seems all too keen to carry on the beef, Metro Boomin believes it\u2019s all much ado about nothing. <\/p>\n

The super-producer took to X\/Twitter<\/a> on December 30 to respond to a fan who had a question about the tension between himself and the 6 God. Metro Boomin, however, dismissed the drama on sight.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot deep at all lmao,\u201d he replied to the fan who asked, \u201care u and Drake seriously beefing or is it not that deep?\u201d<\/p>\n

The drama between the two began back in December, when Metro weighed in on a debate about the streaming figures of his Heroes & Villains<\/em>\u00a0album versus those of Drake and\u00a021 Savage\u2018s\u00a0Her Loss<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After an account reported that\u00a0Heroes & Villains<\/em>\u00a0has amassed more streams in a single year (3.7 billion) than any other rap album since 2018 and is currently generating more than twice the amount of daily streams as\u00a0Her Loss<\/em>, Metro wrote: \u201cYet Her Loss keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V.<\/p>\n

\u201cProof that award shows are just politics and not for me. Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to people\u2019s everyday lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake appeared to fire back at Metro on his\u00a0Instagram Stories<\/a>\u00a0by quoting the\u00a0JAY-Z\u00a0song \u201cHeart of the City (Ain\u2019t No Love)\u201d:\u00a0\u201cDamn, little mans, I\u2019m just tryin\u2019 to do me\/ If the record\u2019s two mil, I\u2019m just tryin\u2019 to move three.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter,\u00a0Drizzy unfollowed Metro on Instagram.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what sparked the apparent rift between the \u201cKnife Talk\u201d collaborators, but\u00a0Metro revealed earlier this year that he took Drake off his\u00a0Heroes & Villains<\/em>\u00a0album.<\/p>\n

\u201cReally, it was a song I had did with Travis and Thug, originally for my album,\u201d Metro told\u00a0DJ Drama\u00a0of the\u00a0Travis Scott\u00a0and\u00a0Young Thug-assisted \u201cTrance.\u201d \u201cI was in the studio with Drake one time because we were gonna do some stuff for my album. He just wanted to hear some songs from my album, and then he heard that one.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe really wanted to get on it but I was letting him know that it was really just done for real. I was really just set on how it was. I was like, \u2018Bro, I ain\u2019t trying to sell you no dream. I\u2019m locked in where it was.\u2019 He had hit me and was just like, \u2018Let me see if there\u2019s anything you could add to it.\u2019 He was like, \u2018If you don\u2019t like it, then whatever.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cHe did some stuff, a couple parts was cool but like I just felt like just even with like Slime verse and Trav verse and the outro, it wasn\u2019t just no room. It wasn\u2019t nothing personal\u2026 I just ended up using the original and I guess the other one just leaked or something.\u201d<\/p>\n
