Benny the Butcher has made clear that he\u2019s aware of the past headlines about his DMX comparisons, and he just wanted to make clear that he was looking to simply create a \u201cmoment.\u201d<\/p>\n

During his interview with The Breakfast Club<\/em>, which aired on Friday (January 12), the Griselda rapp<\/a>er stated that he wasn\u2019t trying to be disrespectful or create a controversy.<\/p>\n

\u201cRespect to DMX and his family and all that,\u201d he began. \u201cBut what I meant was, I\u2019m creating a Def Jam moment. These people who get on Twitter<\/a> and\u2026these blogs post that shit to get the reaction. I\u2019m sick of them doing that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cI\u2019m sick of all these Internet fuckin\u2019 weirdos you\u2019ve seen post that picture. Why post that shit? To get people talkin\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, the Griselda rapper boldly declared that he\u2019d drop the best Hip Hop album on Def Jam since DMX\u2019s It\u2019s Dark and Hell Is Hot<\/em>\u00a0in 1998.<\/p>\n

The quote has continued to follow Benny, with some critics using it as ammo against him in the run-up to his new album, which is set to arrive later this month.<\/p>\n

After an X (formerly Twitter) account posted a graphic of Benny\u2019s comments along with the caption, \u201cThose are some big shoes to fill,\u201d the Buffalo, New York native responded: \u201cWhen blogs post shit like this they be tryna get a reaction outta yall and yall take they bait cuz yall love to banter on this app.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was speaking on creating a missing feelin in the Def Jam building[.] cant wait to drop my shit on you nerds who gonna hate either way THE [Butcher] COMIN.\u201d<\/p>\n

Out January 26,\u00a0Everybody Can\u2019t Go<\/em> will be Benny The Butcher\u2019s first major label album. He signed to Def Jam back in late 2021\u00a0during\u00a0Snoop Dogg\u2018s tenure as an executive at the storied label.<\/p>\n

The project is produced entirely by frequent collaborators\u00a0The Alchemist\u00a0and\u00a0Hit-Boy, and boasts features from\u00a0Lil Wayne\u00a0(\u201cBig Dog\u201d),\u00a0Stove God Cooks (\u201cOne Foot In\u201d), and more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
