The Oi Tonbo!\u00a0<\/em>TV anime<\/a> adaptation has received main cast, staff, and theme<\/a> song details, as well as an April premiere window.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rika Hayashi<\/strong> is voicing the titular heroine Tonbo Oi, while Hiroki Touchi<\/strong> is voicing the other main character, Kazuyoshi Igarashi. Oh Jin Gu<\/strong> (Beyblade Burst QuadDrive<\/em>) is directing with Mitsutaka Hirota<\/strong> (Rent-A-Girlfriend<\/em>) as series<\/a> composer, Akira Takeuchi<\/strong> (Bastard!!<\/em> -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy<\/em> co-chief animation director) as character designer, Keita Hattori<\/strong> (Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z<\/em> mechanical designer) as 3D director, and Nobuko Toda<\/strong> (RWBY: Ice Queendom<\/em> co-composer) as music composer.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the theme songs, the opening is \u201cHabatake!\u201d by Sacra e sole<\/strong> while the ending is \u201cLet\u2019s Swing\u201d by TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oi Tonbo!\u00a0<\/em>is based on the Golf Digest-published manga written by\u00a0Ken Kawasaki<\/strong> and drawn by Yuu Furusawa<\/strong>. The premise\u00a0<\/em>sees Kazuyoshi Igarashi moving to the Tokara Islands after a certain incident causes him to lose his qualification as a professional golfer. There, he encounters Tonbo, who frequently plays golf on the island\u2019s handmade golf courses. Kazuyoshi is amazed by Tonbo\u2019s impressive skills, but also wonders why she uses nothing but a 3-iron. Meanwhile, buried deep in Tonbo\u2019s heart is a painful, sad past.<\/span><\/p>\n

The manga began serialization in Weekly Golf Digest in 2014 and has 46 tankoubon volumes as of September 2023. OLM<\/strong> is producing the anime with SMDE<\/strong> handling the CG production.<\/span><\/p>\n
