Atlanta, GA –\u00a0<\/span>YFN Lucci will spent the better part of the next decade behind bars after being sentenced in the RICO case against his YFN collective.<\/p>\n

According to WSB-TV<\/a><\/em>, the Atlanta rapp<\/a>er (real name Rayshawn Bennett) was sentenced to 20 years in prison but will serve 10.<\/p>\n

Lucci, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act on Tuesday (January 23). He was initially facing numerous felony charges, including murder, which carried a maximum sentence of life without parole.<\/p>\n

As part of his plea deal, Lucci is expected to get credit for time served, which began when he surrendered to authorities in January 2021. Once released from prison, he will serve 10 years\u2019 probation.<\/p>\n

The State has also agreed to write a letter to the pardon and parole board saying they will not object to his early release.<\/p>\n

Prior to receiving his sentence, Lucci reportedly apologized to the murder victim\u2019s family, as well as his own family and friends.<\/p>\n

The \u201cEveryday We Lit\u201d rapper was among a dozen suspects indicted in a sprawling 105-count racketeering indictment against his YFN collective, which prosecutors allege is a faction of the Bloods gang.<\/p>\n

Lucci was initially arrested over a December 2020 shooting in Atlanta that killed a 28-year-old man and injured another man. Prosecutors told the judge during the trial that he was the driver and didn\u2019t fire the deadly shots.<\/p>\n

The indictment, which was filed while Lucci was out on bond, brought a whole host of other charges against him including racketeering, violating Georgia\u2019s anti-gang law and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.<\/p>\n

Lucci was previously offered a plea deal by prosecutors last year which would\u2019ve seen him serve 17 years of a 20-year prison sentence.<\/p>\n

The rapper rejected it, with his attorneys Drew Findling and Gabe Banks telling TMZ<\/a><\/em> they found the deal to be \u201cabsurd.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
