\n Justin Timberlake has announced he\u2019s going on a world tour!<\/p>\n

\n The singer-actor revealed the news<\/a> during his app<\/a>earance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon<\/em> Thursday.<\/p>\n

\n The host proceeded to ask Timberlake at one point, \u201cDo you have something to announce?\u201d But the singer responded, \u201cNo, I don\u2019t have anything to announce. We\u2019re announcing it [the album].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Fallon continued to push, saying, \u201cNo, no, no, no. How about a little something extra? \u2026 There could be something that the audience might want to hear if you said the right thing. That people watching at home, they could go to justintimberlake.com<\/a> and get something if they wanted something. Is there something you would like to announce?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWhat is happening right now?\u201d Timberlake asked before Fallon jokingly showed him a note card. \u201cOh, that. \u2026 I\u2019m going on tour,\u201d he said, as the audience proceeded to scream.<\/p>\n

\n The Forget Tomorrow World Tour is set to kick off on April 29 in Vancouver, Canada. He will be making many more stops, including Seattle, Washington; Phoenix, Arizona; Fort Worth, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Miami,\u00a0Florida. Tickets go on sale Feb. 2.<\/p>\n

\n After Fallon listed some of the dates, Timberlake joked, \u201cWow, that\u2019s a lot of dates.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n The announcement came shortly after the singer revealed he\u2019s releasing a new album, Everything I Thought It Was<\/em>, on March 15, his first solo album release in more than six years. He also surprised fans last Friday, dropping a new single, \u201cSelfish.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n Timberlake also told Fallon on Thursday that he has been working on the album for four years, and actually wrote 100 songs, but cut it down to 18 for Everything I Thought It Was<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cMaking this album is different from any other one. \u2026 Different from making albums before because I would just go in for a block of time, and say this is what we made and this is what it is,\u201d he said. But with this album, since he has two children that he shares with wife Jessica Biel, he couldn\u2019t consistently be writing and in the studio. \u201cI was going back and forth. Two weeks writing, coming back for a month, and just what we call writer camps where I would work with different songwriters, work with different producers, people that I\u2019ve worked with before, people that I\u2019ve never worked with before.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n
