They\u2019re the first ones to get picked. Some people, they never get nothin\u2019 gangsta. They just ugly, you know what I\u2019m saying? So we stay away from them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cBut like I said, adversity builds character. So I\u2019ve been battle-tested. I\u2019m certified.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check out the interview with the outlet below.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/share.tmz.com\/watch\/2024-01-29-012924-kevin-gates-1767076-574\/\" width=\"560\" height=\"395\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Kevin Gates was referring to comments Lil Wayne made on <em>The Richard Sherman Podcast<\/em> on January 19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI get that from my upbringing, from being around Birdman,\u201d he began, when Sherman praised his talent-scouting abilities.<\/p>\n<p>When Sherman asked why people hate on Drake, Weezy didn\u2019t hesitate to weigh in. \u201cHe red, he light-skinned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s just American history,\u201d he continued. \u201cHow I know is, because I\u2019m not light-skinned. I hated on all light-skinned dudes in school. So yeah, it\u2019s American history, man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for Gates, he\u2019s been promoting his latest album,\u00a0<em>The Ceremony<\/em>, and making headlines for talking about his \u201csemen retention journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Baton Rouge rapper made a return visit to\u00a0<em>Million Dollaz Worth of <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a><\/em>\u00a0for an episode that dropped on Sunday (January 28). During the interview, he revealed that he\u2019s still on the semen retention \u201cjourney\u201d that\u00a0he spoke about when he visited the program back in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Gates said he has been on his mission for the past five years, though he wasn\u2019t a purist about it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou gon\u2019 release every now and then,\u201d he explained. \u201cYou gon\u2019 have a wet dream here and there. You don\u2019t beat yourself up about it, because anything in your body that need to come out gon\u2019 naturally come out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Gates explained that as part of his regimen, he avoided pornography and masturbation.
