Los Angeles, CA –\u00a0<\/span>Travis Scott has called out the Grammys for snubbing him during his performance at the very awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

La Flame delivered a medley of UTOPIA<\/em> tracks at the 2024 Grammys on Sunday (February 4) and during a fiery rendition of \u201cFE!N\u201d alongside Playboi Carti, he ad-libbed the phrase: \u201cThey slept on me 10 times,\u201d in reference to his 10 nominations but zero wins at the awards.<\/p>\n

Scott also closed out his set by smashing folding chairs against the ground, although it\u2019s unclear if this was an act of frustration or merely part of his typically amped-up show.<\/p>\n

The Houston native\u2019s sole nomination at last night\u2019s awards was for Best Rap Album, with UTOPIA<\/em> going up against Nas\u2018 King\u2019s Disease III<\/em>, Metro Boomin\u2018s Heroes & Villains<\/em>, Drake and 21 Savage\u2018s collaborative effort Her Loss<\/em> and eventual winner Killer Mike\u2018s Michael<\/em>.<\/p>\n

After the winner of Best Rap Album was announced, Scott app<\/a>eared to voice his displeasure on X (formerly Twitter<\/a>) by posting a raised eyebrow emoji.<\/p>\n

Travis Scott was previously nominated for Best Rap Album in 2019 for Astroworld<\/em> alongside Pusha T\u2018s Daytona<\/em>, Nipsey Hussle\u2019sVictory Lap<\/em>, Mac Miller\u2019sSwimming<\/em> and Cardi B\u2019sInvasion of Privacy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Cardi picked up the win that year, making her the first solo female artist to ever win the award. Lauryn Hill previously won Best Rap Album as part of the Fugees.<\/p>\n

Scott also had two other nominations that year, both for his hit single \u201cSicko Mode\u201d which was up for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.<\/p>\n

It lost out in the former category to joint winner \u201cBubblin\u201d by Anderson. Paak and \u201cKing\u2019s Dead\u201d by Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Blake, and \u201cGod\u2019s Plan\u201d by Drake in the latter.<\/p>\n

Prior to his latest loss, the Cactus Jack creative had spoken about his enthusiasm for UTOPIA<\/em> being nominated for Best Rap Album.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Yes! Okay this time, we just gotta bring it home,\u2019\u201d he said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em> while recalling his reaction to the news<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means a lot to me. I love music and I love the [Recording] Academy. Some of the most amazing and talented artists have achieved that. And as a producer and as a writer and as a musician, I take music very seriously. So I love it. It\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the Grammys now in his rear view, Travis Scott is set to perform next weekend at billionaire Michael Rubin\u2019s Super Bowl party.<\/p>\n

The A-list affair will also feature performances by Ice Spice, Meek Mill, Ludacris, Ne-Yo, A$AP Ferg and Lil Baby.<\/p>\n

Scott\u2019s new film Aggro Dr1ft<\/em> is also set to premiere this week at a Los Angeles strip<\/a> club before touring around the rest of the U.S.<\/p>\n

According to its synopsis, the film is about \u201ca melancholic assassin named BO as he prepares to vanquish a demonic crime lord in a Floridian realm of vivid pinks, blazing yellows, and deep purples. But the particulars of its minimalist plot are largely moot; the vibe is what\u2019s paramount.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film is directed by Harmony Korine and stars Scott alongside Jordi Molla, who is best known for his villainous role in Bad Boys II<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
