An early report claimed it was a direct result of\u00a0Michael Jordan<\/strong>\u2018s disapp<\/a>roval. Marcus\u2019 famous father infamously voiced his displeasure in the coupling, and a source told Page Six<\/em> \u201cit really mortified Larsa\u201d and she wasn\u2019t able to get past it.<\/p>\n

However, another insider is saying the picture of a perfect relationship with that one hurdle is far from accurate. This source tells\u00a0DailyMail.com<\/em><\/a> there were some fundamental problems, too:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were in love with each other, but once the honeymoon phase ended, they started to realize their priorities differed.\u201d<\/p>\n

What priorities? Well, like we\u2019ve heard before with couples who had big gaps, age is often more than just a number. The insider explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir age difference played a major factor in the split, and on top of the fact that Marcus wants to have kids while she wants to be more of a celebrity. They both had different ideas of what their family was going to be like and that built lots of stress.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Oof. Yeah, that\u2019s rough. At 49, Larsa has already done the whole kids thing. She and\u00a0Scottie Pippen<\/strong> had four kids together \u2014 Scotty Jr.<\/strong>, 22, Preston<\/strong>, 21, Justin<\/strong>, 18, and Sophia<\/strong>, 14. She\u2019s already got three at college age, and he wants to start over with more?<\/p>\n

Well, it\u2019s not shocking he\u2019d want to settle down and have some kids \u2014 he\u2019s 33 after all. Like we said, that age difference, y\u2019all. Sometimes people meet at the wrong time of their lives. It happens. The insider continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are just on different roads, but they are both to blame for not being together \u2014 even though they are blaming each other for the demise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maybe the problem is Marcus wouldn\u2019t admit he wanted kids? Last year Larsa confronted him about it on their podcast, Separation Anxiety<\/em>, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m happy, because I have four kids, and I feel like you don\u2019t have kids, so basically it\u2019d be a question for you. Because I\u2019m really fulfilled with my four children.\u201d<\/p>\n

He demurred, however, changing the subject to his business:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s something that goes unsaid with dating, and when there\u2019s an age gap. Like if the man is older, he might have kids, if the woman is older, she might have kids. But for me, I\u2019ve always viewed Trophy Room as my baby. I always wanted to establish my own name, outside of being Michael Jordan\u2019s son. So for me, Trophy Room gave me that opportunity as my business. So I\u2019ve always nurtured it and treated it as my child.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hmm. If he later said he actually did<\/em> want kids and she saw him as being dishonest there, well\u2026 it makes sense she\u2019d be upset. Still, this source also says there\u2019s \u201cabsolutely\u201d a chance for reconciliation, it\u2019s just\u2026<\/p>\n
