{"id":608659,"date":"2024-02-15T03:27:28","date_gmt":"2024-02-15T00:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/epstein-victims-accuse-fbi-of-enabling-sex-trafficking-in-new-lawsuit\/"},"modified":"2024-02-15T03:27:28","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T00:27:28","slug":"epstein-victims-accuse-fbi-of-enabling-sex-trafficking-in-new-lawsuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/epstein-victims-accuse-fbi-of-enabling-sex-trafficking-in-new-lawsuit\/","title":{"rendered":"#Epstein victims accuse FBI of enabling sex trafficking in new lawsuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/659df919e84099.30309174.jpeg?w=900\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A dozen victims of Jeffrey Epstein <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.nysd.615610\/gov.uscourts.nysd.615610.1.0.pdf\">sued<\/a> the U.S. government on Wednesday, accusing the FBI of allowing and enabling his sex trafficking for two decades.<\/p>\n<p>The anonymous victims alleged that the FBI had received credible tips about Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking operation as early as 1996, but did not investigate them.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>A probe finally began in 2006, the suit says, but ended once Epstein pleaded guilty to a soliciting prostitution charge in Florida and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. The suit claims the FBI continued to ignore tips until Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges in 2019. He killed himself in prison months later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a direct and proximate cause of the FBI\u2019s negligence, plaintiffs would not have been continued to be sex trafficked, abused, raped, tortured and threatened,\u201d the suit reads. \u201cJane Does 1-12 bring this lawsuit to get to the bottom \u2014 once and for all \u2014 of the FBI\u2019s role in Epstein\u2019s criminal sex trafficking ring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs also allege that the FBI had evidence of crimes that the agency refused to pursue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the FBI investigation, the FBI was complicit in permitting Epstein and co-conspirators to continue to victimize Jane Does 1-12 and other young women,\u201d the suit reads. \u201cThe FBI had photographs, videos and interviews and hard evidence of child prostitution and failed to timely investigate and arrest Epstein in deviation from the FBI protocols<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI had a non-discretionary obligation, governed by established policies, procedures, rules, and protocols, to handle and investigate tips concerning potential and ongoing underage child erotica, rape, sex with minors, and sex trafficking in a reasonable manner and to act against Epstein and to prevent him from committing repeated crimes,\u201d it continued. \u201cYet, contrary to its own established rules, the FBI failed to take <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ropriate action and botched and covered up investigations for years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs seek monetary damages from the federal government.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The Hill has reached out to the Department of Justice for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Copyright 2024 Nexstar <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Inc.
