And I understand that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After explaining that he believes the \u201cBaby\u201d singer will eventually headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show one day because he \u201cdeserves it,\u201d Usher continued: \u201cBut, we did have a brief conversation. We\u2019re gonna do something else in the future. No love lost or anything like that. It\u2019s a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, obviously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"instagram-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/C3aeRtPLFF1\/embed\" width=\"320\" height=\"600\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Usher isn\u2019t the only one who had to explain why Bieber was absent from the Super Bowl Halftime stage.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/02\/14\/lil-jon-justin-bieber-halftime-show-usher-super-bowl\/\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday (February 14), Lil Jon explained that taking on a performance of that magnitude is a behemoth of a commitment, and JB \u2014 who last year took a step back from live performances and touring after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome \u2014 just wasn\u2019t up for it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a lot of rehearsal, a lot of responsibility, a lot of time and a lot of eyeballs and I don\u2019t know if he was ready to do all that,\u201d Jon explained. \u201cBut he definitely was there supporting Usher and they are really good friends and he definitely was supporting him regardless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Per the Mayo Clinic, Ramsay Hunt syndrome occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears.<\/p>\n<p>This causes not only a painful rash, but can bring on facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear.<\/p>\n<p>Lil Jon added: \u201cHe was thinking about it but I think all of the work that goes into it, and then all of the eyeballs and everything else, I don\u2019t know if he was ready to have that undertaking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know, because Justin was just kind of chilling. He was there with his wife having a good time. It\u2019s a lot of time you have to dedicate to being in a show like this.
