Trick Daddy disagrees with Fat Joe\u2018s claim that he discovered the \u201cNaan\u201d rapp<\/a>er.<\/p>\n

Back in 2022 during an appearance on My Expert Opinion<\/em><\/a>, Joe claimed of Trick Daddy, \u201cI took his shit and got him signed.\u201d It was a take that, not long afterwards, got pushback from Uncle Luke,<\/a> who also claimed involvement in Trick\u2019s early career.<\/p>\n

Now, Trick himself is having his say. He went on VladTV<\/em> on Saturday (February 17), and suggested that Fat Joe might have embelleshed his tale.<\/p>\n

\u201cFat Joe gotta be older than me,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause I go to be forgetting things, but I never hallucinate. Fat Joe said he took my CD into Craig Kallman at Atlantic Records. If you got my deal, how do I get a CD? I see him telling a lot of stories. Maybe he got it confused.\u201d<\/p>\n

His words about Trick Daddy\u2019s career aren\u2019t the only notable statements Joe has made of late. More recently, there was a confession the Terror Squad rapper made while he was defending Young Thug, in which he admitted that he lied in \u201c95 percent\u201d of the songs that he\u2019s released throughout his career.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on\u00a0CNN<\/em> with Gayle King back in December, the Bronx rapper called it \u201chorrible\u201d and a \u201ctravesty\u201d that Thugga\u2019s lyrics can be used against him in his YSL RICO case.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been rapping professionally for 30 years \u2014 I\u2019ve lied in almost 95 percent of my songs,\u201d Joe began. \u201cI\u2019m being honest. I write like I feel that day. I\u2019m just being creative. You couldn\u2019t build a jail high enough for the lyrics I\u2019ve said on songs which are all untrue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I am is a family man, the person who gives back to my community all the time, opens businesses in my community. So the music would never amount to the actual person, Joseph Cartagena.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhat\u2019s even more horrible is that the district attorneys, they know those lyrics ain\u2019t real. They know that\u2019s creativity. But if it helps their case, they\u2019ll use it to put these guys in jail.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd here, we\u2019re having a fun show about it and discussion, but there really is six defendants in Atlanta who might spend the rest of their lives in jail for something that\u2019s totally not true. This is very serious. This destroys families.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
