This type of fake traffic not only impacts your budget but also complicates the optimization of your campaigns, as it hinders a clear understanding of your actual audience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report details.<\/strong> CHEQ gathered data for this report from 144,000 visits to its clients\u2019 websites through X ads during Super Bowl weekend, from Friday February 9 to the end of Super Bowl Sunday on February 11. Although the data is not scientifically sampled and represents a small portion of the overall relevant data from CHEQ\u2019s 15,000 clients, it highlights a significant trend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What CHEQ is saying<\/strong>. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cheq.ai\/\">CHEQ<\/a>\u00a0founder and CEO Guy Tytunovich told <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/x-twitter-elon-musk-bots-fake-traffic\">Mashable<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen anything even remotely close to 50 percent, not to mention 76 percent. I\u2019m amazed\u2026I\u2019ve never, ever, ever, ever seen anything even remotely close.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWe were always the conservative ones. We protect a lot of our customers on Google Ads, YouTube, and even TikTok, which I\u2019m not a fan of, and we\u2019ve always said 50 percent [being fake] is a bit opportunistic.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cI almost decided not to go out [and publish the X bot data] because we\u2019ve never seen anything like it.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What is CHEQ?<\/strong> CHEQ is a cybersecurity firm, is dedicated to preventing ad fraud.
