Timbaland has teased that the follow-up to Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign\u2018s Vultures 1<\/em> will be coming sooner than everyone thinks.<\/p>\n

The producer made the revelation on X, formerly known as Twitter<\/a>, on Saturday (February 24). Though he didn\u2019t give specifics on what the follow-up would entail, he did tease that he\u2019d have more production work on the wildly successful album\u2019s follow-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike I said Vulture Vol 2 OTW [fire emojis],\u201d read the post.<\/p>\n

Timbaland, who has collaborated with Kanye many times in the past and produced two tracks on Vultures 1<\/em>, will also be contributing to the next installment.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Billboard<\/a><\/em>, Vultures 1<\/em>earned 148,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 129,000 of that figure coming from streaming units (167.78 million on-demand streams in total), 18,000 from pure album sales and 1,000 from TEA (track equivalent album) units.<\/p>\n

Kanye is now level with Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand with 11 No. 1 albums to his name, with only\u00a0Drake\u00a0and Taylor Swift (13),\u00a0JAY-Z\u00a0(14) and The Beatles (19) ahead of him.<\/p>\n

The album is Ty Dolla $ign\u2019s first No. 1 and second top 10 following 2020\u2019s\u00a0Featuring Ty Dolla $ign<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ye reacted to the news<\/a> by issuing a brief statement to\u00a0Complex<\/a><\/em>\u00a0saying: \u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ty also celebrated the achievement on his Instagram Stories, posting a video of him lifting his index finger to the camera while silencing the naysayers.<\/p>\n

Released on February 10,\u00a0Vultures 1<\/em>\u00a0boasts uncredited app<\/a>earances from\u00a0Travis Scott,\u00a0Playboi Carti,\u00a0Lil Durk,\u00a0Chris Brown,\u00a0Freddie Gibbs,\u00a0YG,\u00a0Quavo,\u00a0Rich The Kid\u00a0and others.<\/p>\n

The project was initially only available on streaming platforms and as a digital download through online retailers and Kanye West\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Physical versions of the album on CD and vinyl are set to be released at a later point, with Ye\u2019s store currently accepting pre-orders.<\/p>\n

Vultures 1<\/em>\u00a0debuts at No. 1 despite encountering a series<\/a> of issues.\u00a0The album was temporarily removed from streaming services five days after its release\u00a0due to a complaint from its initial distributor, FUGA.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn Friday, February 9, 2024, a long-standing FUGA client delivered the album\u00a0Vultures 1<\/em>\u00a0through the platform\u2019s automated processes, violating our service agreement,\u201d the company said. \u201cTherefore, FUGA is actively working with its DSP partners and the client to remove\u00a0Vultures 1<\/em>\u00a0from our systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album was quickly reinstated on streaming platforms after Kanye and Ty Dolla found another distributor, Label Engine, who had previously released the singles\u00a0\u201cVultures\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cTalking\/Once Again.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
