SiR has apologized for a misogynistic post he sent to Kai Cenat on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Top Dawg Entertainment singer wrote a tweet to the popular streamer on Sunday (February 25) that said: \u201c@KaiCenat a real one. Got a n-gga a whole new Bitch on Twitch [crying face emoji].\u201d<\/p>\n

His post came after Cenat hosted an online dating competition<\/a> for a newly-single man who went viral when his now-ex-girlfriend engaged in some steamy dancing<\/a> with Nigerian singer Omah Lay during a recent concert.<\/p>\n

SiR later deleted the post, but not without catching flak on social media over his use of the word \u201cbitch.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is 37 talking like this @inglewoodSiR. 37,\u201d one critic wrote on X, while another said: \u201cDamn n-gga you forgot your target audience AND the fact you independent w an album otw.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else wrote: \u201cThis is not the same man who recorded \u2018John Redcorn<\/a>,’\u201d referencing the singer\u2019s tender ballad about being in love with the right person at the wrong time.<\/p>\n

After the backlash, SiR issued an apology on X that read: \u201cLet me start by saying I hear everyone, and I am sincerely sorry. Women deserve respect and I see using \u2018bitch\u2019 doesn\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cPlease accept my apology and allowing me this teaching moment. With nothing but love, SiR.\u201d<\/p>\n

The controversy comes shortly after the release of SiR\u2019s latest single, \u201cKarma,\u201d a collaboration with fellow TDE representative Isaiah Rashad.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the second song from the Inglewood, California native\u2019s upcoming album Heavy<\/em> (out March 22) following \u201cNo Evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the video for that track, SiR pays tribute to D\u2019Angelo by recreating the neo-soul singer\u2019s iconic visuals for \u201cUntitled (How Does It Feel).\u201d<\/p>\n

While showcasing his muscular physique in the video, he sings:\u00a0\u201cWhat\u2019s your superpower?\/ Show me what you\u2019re made of\/ I been lonely for days and days\/ But we\u2019re one and the same.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Heavy<\/em> serves as the crooner\u2019s fourth studio album and first since 2019\u2019s Chasing Summer<\/em>, which boasted app<\/a>earances from Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Jill Scott, Smino and Sabrina Claudio, among others.<\/p>\n

The project marked a new commercial peak for SiR, reaching No. 64 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
