However, T gates are also the most expensive and most resource-intensive gates of the network.<\/p>\n<p>To address this, the team developed AlphaTensor-Quantum, an extension of DeepMind\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deepmind.google\/discover\/blog\/discovering-novel-algorithms-with-alphatensor\/\">AlphaTensor<\/a>, the first AI system that can discover efficient algorithms for tasks such as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matrix_multiplication\">matrix multiplication<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inarticle-wrapper channel-cta\">\n<div class=\"ica-text\">\n<p class=\"ica-text__title\">TNW Conference 2024 &#8211; Group ticket offer<\/p>\n<p>Save up to 40% with our Group offer and join Europe&#8217;s leading tech festival in June!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>AlphaTensor-Quantum is an AI model that leverages the relationship between optimising T-count and tensor decomposition, using deep reinforcement learning.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast to existing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roaches, the model can incorporate domain-specific knowledge about quantum computation as well as use \u201cgadgetisation\u201d techniques, which implement alternative gates by introducing additional qubits and operations. This way, the AI can significantly reduce the number of T gates.<\/p>\n<p>According to the researchers, AlphaTensor-Quantum outperforms existing systems for T-count optimisation and is as efficient as the \u201cbest\u201d human-designed solutions across numerous applications.
