{"id":610640,"date":"2024-02-29T00:15:53","date_gmt":"2024-02-28T21:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/big-sean-dissed-by-gil-scott-herons-daughter-with-brutal-joke\/"},"modified":"2024-02-29T00:15:53","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T21:15:53","slug":"big-sean-dissed-by-gil-scott-herons-daughter-with-brutal-joke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/big-sean-dissed-by-gil-scott-herons-daughter-with-brutal-joke\/","title":{"rendered":"#Big Sean Dissed By Gil Scott-Heron&#8217;s Daughter With Brutal Joke"},"content":{"rendered":"<div itemprop=\"articleBody\">Big Sean has caught a stray from the daughter of Gil Scott-Heron in the form of a brutal joke that she co-signed.<\/p>\n<p>The late jazz poet and singer\u2019s daughter, Chegianna Scott-Heron Newton, shared a post on X (formerly <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>) on Tuesday (February 27) dragging the Detroit r<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er.<\/p>\n<p>The original tweet, which was posted by another user, read: \u201cGil Scott Heron left this earth almost exactly a month before Big Sean debut album, he knew ahead of time he didn\u2019t want to hear that bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Newton evidently didn\u2019t take offense to the scathing joke as she retweeted it and added: \u201cIt\u2019s true.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s true <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2RFPj59imC\">https:\/\/t.co\/2RFPj59imC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 C (@HeronChe) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeronChe\/status\/1762494690153353543?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 27, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Big Sean fans took issue with the diss and clapped back at Scott-Heron Newton\u2019s post in his defense.<\/p>\n<p>One user wrote: \u201cJill Scott Heroin daughter a square that ho ont know shit bout what\u2019s goin on in N-GGA culture she listen to Yves Tumor and Coldplay\u2026 SHUT DA FUCK UP.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another simply said: \u201cNow why you do this?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the backlash, Newton returned to the app and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HeronChe\/status\/1762563939655688239\">wrote<\/a>: \u201cCan\u2019t make small small joke on here anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Big Sean\u2019s debut album <em>Finally Famous<\/em> arrived on June 28, 2011, just a month after Gil Scott-Heron passed away at the age of 62.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being on the receiving end of a brutal joke, the project was a modest success, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 while spawning hits like \u201cDance (A$$)\u201d with Nicki Minaj, \u201cMarvin &amp; Chardonnay\u201d with Kanye West and Roscoe Dash and \u201cMy Last\u201d featuring Chris Brown.<\/p>\n<p>It has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBounce Back\u201d rapper hasn\u2019t released an album since 2020\u2019s\u00a0<em>Detroit 2<\/em>, though that may be changing soon.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Sean Don hinted that his new project is on the way after veteran Hip Hop journalist Elliott Wilson shared his freestyle over Slum Village\u2019s \u201cGet Dis Money\u201d on social media.<\/p>\n<p>The former G.O.O.D. Music rep commented on the post: \u201cNah its time for a new album this year fasho.
