Neuromancer<\/em> is headed to Apple TV+. Ten episodes have been ordered for the new sci-fi drama series<\/a>, based on the William Gibson novel of the same name. Graham Roland (Tom Clancy\u2019s Jack Ryan<\/em>) and JD Dillard (Utopia<\/em>) created the series.<\/p>\n

The series will follow the super-hacker named Case after he is dragged into the world of espionage by his assassin girlfriend to pull off a corporate heist. No casting has been announced as yet by the streaming service.<\/p>\n

Apple TV+ revealed more about the series in a press release.<\/p>\n

Apple TV+ announced today that it will expand its acclaimed slate of science<\/a> fiction offerings with \u201cNeuromancer,\u201d a new 10-episode drama based on the award-winning novel of the same name by William Gibson. It will be created for television by Graham Roland (\u201cTom Clancy\u2019s Jack Ryan,\u201d \u201cDark Winds\u201d) and JD Dillard (\u201cDevotion,\u201d \u201cThe Outsider,\u201d \u201cSleight\u201d). A co-production between Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, \u201cNeuromancer\u201d will also be produced by Drake\u2019s DreamCrew Entertainment, with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard set to direct the pilot episode.<\/p>\n

The series will follow a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly excited to be bringing this iconic property to Apple TV+,\u201d said creators and executive producers Roland and Dillard. \u201cSince we became friends nearly 10 years ago, we\u2019ve looked for something to team up on, so this collaboration marks a dream come true. \u2018Neuromancer\u2019 has inspired so much of the science fiction that\u2019s come after it and we\u2019re looking forward to bringing television audiences into Gibson\u2019s definitive \u2018cyberpunk\u2019 world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNeuromancer\u201d will be executive produced by Roland and Dillard, alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television; Anonymous Content; Drake, Adel \u2018Future\u2019 Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment; and Zack Hayden and Gibson.<\/p>\n

The debut novel by William Gibson, \u201cNeuromancer\u201d has been praised as one of the first and most-respected works within the cyberpunk genre and has received numerous accolades, including the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award and the Hugo Award. The novel served as the first book in the \u201cSprawl\u201d trilogy and was followed by \u201cCount Zero\u201d and \u201cMona Lisa Overdrive.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The premiere date and additional details for Neuromancer<\/em> will be announced later.<\/p>\n
