The Bloody Valentine<\/em> artist, whose real name is Colson Baker<\/strong>, is now going by a new handle on all social media<\/a> and online platforms! Not Machine Gun Kelly anymore! Y\u2019all ready? It\u2019s\u2026<\/p>\n

As of Thursday, his profiles on\u00a0Spotify<\/strong>, App<\/a>le Music<\/strong>, Tidal<\/strong>, and YouTube<\/strong> all read \u2018mgk\u2019 to reflect the name change. Even over on\u00a0X<\/strong> (Twitter), he\u2019s got \u201cMGK\u201d as his name \u2014 even though his handle is still\u00a0@machinegunkelly<\/strong> like it\u2019s always been. A new era is upon him, evidently \u2014 and us, too!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear why he made the change now, as his last tweets popped up a couple days before, on Tuesday. But FWIW, back in September of 2022, comedy duo act Chad and JT<\/strong> publicly petitioned Baker to drop the \u201cmachine gun\u201d part of his alias so as \u201cnot to glorify machine guns.\u201d Maybe this has something to do with that?!<\/p>\n
