A spokesperson explained in a statement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cWhen it comes to defining trends on TikTok, there\u2019s a difference between what\u2019s\u00a0trending now\u00a0and being\u00a0on-trend: we refer to these as \u2018Trend Moments\u2019 versus \u2018Trend Signals\u2019.\u201d <\/li>\n<li>\u201cNumerous small Trend Moments make up a larger Trend Signal.
