Lil Wayne\u2018s youngest son app<\/a>ears to be following in his father\u2019s footsteps by pursuing a career in music \u2014 but fans are divided by the results so far.<\/p>\n

On Monday (March 4), 14-year-old Neal Carter went live on Instagram to share a snippet of a new song while throwing up hand sings and dancing to it.<\/p>\n

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti and Yeat, the track features distorted high-pitched vocals over a bass-heavy, video game<\/a>-esque beat.<\/p>\n

The full lyrics are hard to make out, but Neal can be heard making references to drug use and sex.<\/p>\n

Soon after the clip began making the rounds online, fans took to social media<\/a> to share their thoughts on it \u2014 and some were less than impressed.<\/p>\n

\u201cBro didn\u2019t get the right genes,\u201d one critic wrote on Instagram, while another added: \u201cHow is your dad one of the best rappers alive and you do this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Others, however, showed more leniency to the teen with comments like: \u201cHe gonna drop a banger in 10 years probably\u201d and \u201cNah this better than Ken [Carson] its actually tuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neal Carter was born in November 2009 during Lil Wayne\u2019s on-again, off-again relationship with singer Nivea.<\/p>\n

The pair were engaged in the early 2000s. They had their only child together after getting back together years later, but finally called it quits in 2010.<\/p>\n

The Young Money boss has three other children with different women: Reginae, 25; Dwayne Carter III, 15; and Kameron, 14.<\/p>\n

While Wayne is largely selective when it comes to exposing his children to the glare of the public eye, over the holidays he proved that there\u2019s nothing more important than quality time with his family.<\/p>\n

In late November, the 41-year-old rapper posed for a rare family photo alongside his four children. Tunechi could be seen rocking a bright yellow sweatsuit while cozied up with his kids.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy Thanksgiving From My Family To Yours,\u201d his daughter Reginae wrote in her Instagram caption.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
