\n Over the past several days, many prominent NFL voices \u2013 including superstar QB Patrick Mahomes and commissioner Roger Goodell \u2013 have spoken out about about systemic racism in America following the death of George Floyd.<\/p>\n

But several owners have remained quiet, and players have started to notice. In an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman singled out a specific owner \u2013 Dallas Cowboys boss Jerry Jones.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not pulling [the owners] like it is the rest of the country,\u201d Sherman said. \u201cBecause if it was, then they\u2019d speak. Jerry Jones, especially, has no problem speaking up any other time about anything else. But when it\u2019s such a serious issue, and he could really make a huge impact on it with a few words, his silence speaks volumes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cowboys released a two-minute video condemning \u201csocial<\/a> injustice\u201d on June 5, featuring commentary from Dak Prescott, Byron Jones and Sean Lee. But the team has yet to release a statement. Considering Jones is one of the NFL\u2019s most vocal owners on nearly every other topic, his inaction is particularly notable.<\/p>\n

Sherman is not the only player to call Jones out. Former Dallas wide receiver Dez Bryant attended a march in Austin, Texas\u2019 capital city, over the weekend, and questioned why none of the Cowboys\u2019 brass were there.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody should have brought Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones and Jason Witten to this protest down in Austin\u2026\u2026this is not a policy change this is a heart change and yea I said it,\u201d Bryant tweeted.<\/p>\n

Bryant later clarified his stance on Jones, telling Sports Illustrated: \u201cI know Jerry\u2019s heart \u2014 he\u2019s a compassionate person, and he\u2019s not a racist.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
