Hit-Boy has just shared studio footage of him and Kirk Franklin, but it was Wiz Khalifa who revealed a funny secret about the session.<\/p>\n

The producer posted the footage to Instagram on Wednesday (March 6). It showed Franklin, a gospel music legend, playing keys over a drumbeat presumably produced by Hit-Boy.<\/p>\n

Hit captioned the video, \u201cme and @kirkfranklin goin in,\u201d later adding<\/a>, \u201cghetto gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Wiz jumped into the comments as well. \u201cDamn,\u201d he wrote. \u201cRight after we smoked all that weed in there.\u201d He followed it up with a tears of joy emoji.<\/p>\n

The producer responded to Wiz with multiple tears of joy emojis of his own, and a puff of smoke.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lecrae wanted some of the results for himself.<\/p>\n

Bassist Brady Watt<\/a> quickly offered to add his playing to the track<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Songwriter and artist Quentin Millerresponded<\/a> to the video with multiple fire emojis, as did producer BoogzDaBeast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hit-Boy has had more on his mind lately than gospel.<\/p>\n

One day after posting footage with Franklin, the beatmaker offered his opinion on a new bill that will force streaming services to increase artist payouts, and he made clear he was not impressed by the solution.<\/p>\n

The producer took to Instagram on Thursday (March 7) and posted a screenshot featuring news<\/a> of the bill. The headline of the story said that App<\/a>le and Spotify might be forced to pay artist one cent per stream.<\/p>\n

Hit-Boy reacted to this news with a caption that showed the raise was less impactful than he would have hoped.<\/p>\n

\u201cthey saying we fighting for a penny,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Some commenters were quick to break down the economics of such a bill.<\/p>\n

One user wrote: \u201cY\u2019all complaining but this is over a 300% pay raise and raises every indie artist up to a $12.50\/album rate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another added: \u201cthis a huge improvement tho [crying face] i don\u2019t understand why ppl complaining.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
